SCHEMES/PROMOTIONAL PROGRRAMMES/ANNUAL FLOW

Scheme of sales and promotion through exhibition:- General Plan.
Corporation is organizing 40 to 50 exhibitions within the Gujarat State and outside the Gujarat State. exhibitions and artisans are invited in the exhibition to give live demonstration of their respective crafts. The main objective of organizing such exhibitions is to create awareness of Gujarat Handicrafts and Handlooms and its reach to elite clientele of contemporary living. The artisans/weavers are being paid Rs.100/- per day, boarding and lodging during the exhibition and to & fro traveling expenses. The products which are manufactured by the artisans/weavers are being sold in these exhibitions.

To provide raw material for employment : Special Component Plan
Handloom and handicrafts artisans living in interior villages, economically weaker weavers/artisans are facing difficulties to purchase raw materials. To keep these weavers/artisans Corporation is providing raw materials, new design samples through the production, purchase Centres and sales outlets, so as to produce high and better quality products. These products are being purchased by paying remunerative prices to the weavers/artisans and these are being sold through the Garvi-Gurjari outlets. Corporation is making efforts to provide employment by supplying raw materials.

Employment to the tribal artisans through training : Tribal Plan
To increase the population of tribal artisans, to keep alive the defading tribal crafts, to produce the products according to the market needs, the tribal artisans are being imparted training. During the training artisans are being paid stipend, raw materials and tool kits are also supplied

Employment through tribal Mela : Tribal Plan
Corporation is implementing the Government Plan. Tribal craft is not achieved the frame in the country. So Corporation is organizing tribal melas, to take the tribal craft products to the customers, so as to produce as per the customers needs to boost the sales. The artisans are invited to participate in the Melas to sell their products directly to the customers. The traveling expenses, lodging and boarding and work loss compensation is being paid to the artisans who participate in the Melas.

Artisans Security Scheme
Handicrafts artisans are covered under the insurance scheme. The artisans have to payonly Rs.40/- annual premium. The insurance company pay's Rs.20,000/- on the natural death and Rs.50000/- on accidental death.

Handloom artisans has to pay Rs.65/- annual premium. The insurance company pay's Rs.50000/- on natural death and Rs.80,000/- on accidental death. Government of India and State Government contribute towards extra premium.
